The 1st Quarterly Meeting of the Stamford Bd of Realtors on March 5, 2009 was well attended
by Stamford Realtors. A full breakfast was served at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Dr. Joshua P. Starr, Superintendent of the Stamford Public Schools, was the guest speaker. Dr. Starr discussed the current status of the 2009-10 redistricting plan and the revisions in the academic grouping in the middle schools.

Dr. Starr stated that there will be a 3 year process of transition within the middle schools focusing on more individual ability grouping. He also said that the Stamford School District is the only school district in the State of Connecticut that increased test scores in all 4 groups and that Stamford's gains in math exceeded the state and other cities.
